The Central Valley R/C soaring club has been hosting one of the biggest Thermal Duration contest in the USA for decades! This event is a "can't miss" if you are in the western part of the USA. This year was as good as any with over 100 pilots in attendance. There were great people, great food, great raffle prizes, and good times! This is a two day event generally held on the first weekend of October.
This year we had great conditions on Saturday with mild winds and good lift. Sunday was a different story with high winds and tricky conditions. The conditions on Sunday really shuffled the order around in the standings.
