The Taranis is a 3.8 meter span aerobatic model that is available in 2 construction methods, the standard deluxe version is constructed fully in carbon fiber, it is very rugged and stiff. A special "Alpine" version is available that has further carbon reinforcements to meet the toughest flight conditions, this "Alpine" version was developed for the harsh Swiss mountain environment.
The Taranis can be equipped with Chocofly's special retractable landing gear unit. Further for flat land flying the Taranis can be powered by and electric motor (FES) or a turbine.
