The Vantage Race is the next evolution of the Vantage design from CCM. The new model is aimed at complimenting the original Vantage in good to very good lift conditions where as the original model was aimed at light to moderate conditions. Much attention was given to making the new design an easy turning model with a " good-natured flight behavior".

"In keeping with this quote, we have also incorporated a number of structural changes to the V.race. For example, the wings are now held to the fuselage by two connectors. This ensures greater rigidity of the wing due to the additional spar web between the connectors. The ballast chamber is still very close to the center of gravity and is loaded with square ballast pieces. This means that you no longer have to pay attention to the correct alignment of the ballast pieces, which allows for quick and easy reballasting, especially in competitions. The fuselage nose has shrunk and the tail unit has grown a little.

Since the wings of the Vantage fit the fuselage of the V.race, we are responding to the wishes of many customers and are offering an upgrade for the Vantage for even better handling in very good conditions."

Comment by designer Mario Perner-

In fact, Vantage and VracE have the same root airfoil and the positions of the torsion pins, MPX-connectors and joiners are identical. This makes it possible to use the VANTAGE wings on the VracE fuselage. It is correct that the MPX-connectors have been swapped on the VracE. This was a feedback from many pilots and the modified version now also corresponds to my personal preference: the current-carrying contacts in the fuselage are now better protected and short circuits cannot happen so easily. Since the conversion of the MPX-connector on the VANTAGE wing is quite simple and the advantages outweigh the disadvantages in my opinion, I deliberately pushed for this change.

I think that the VANTAGE wing harmonizes very well with the VracE fuselage and tail unit and I assume that CCM will probably install suitable MPX plugs when the corresponding orders are placed.

The KST-HS08 should fit quite good in the fuselage. I personally use the MKS HV75 in my VracE, but here you have to make a new servoplate. I saw one VracE with KST MS320 in the fuselage but it´s quite narrow :)
